This heater is your solution to the chilly fall or cold winter nights. The Hunter Vertical and Horizontal Oscillating Digital Ceramic Tower Heater is extremely versatile. Not only does it have the oscillation feature to spread heat evenly throughout the entire room, but it produces heat at 900w or 1500w with full temperature customization. You can position the heater horizontally as a baseboard heater or vertically as a tower, which is great for smaller spaces. It comes with a remote control, along with a overheat safety feature which will turn the heater off if it gets to extreme temperatures. For added safety, it also has a cool down mode where the fan runs to cool off the unit before it powers down completely.

Nice idea...BUT February 13, 2019

I found this heater at Costco, took it home and got it working. After a little time understanding the way it operates (between button presses and flashing numbers) I am generally satisfied with the heater itself.

BUT who ever signed off on the dopey round hockey puck remote should be fired. It is the all time stupidest, clumsiest design and operation of a remote device I have ever seen.
First turn on the room lights to see the circle of painted symbols. Then stare around the outer rim until you find the IR LED. Then (be careful) rotate and point that tiny LED at the heater without touching any of the buttons on top. Then stare the circle until you find the right function symbol, but don't move or rotate it, it will miss the heater and do nothing. Dumb dumb dumb.

Frustrated March 9, 2015
Reviewer: Irving Zlotnik from Newhall, CA United States
Tried to register our new heater and the address given in the literature does not work, I read the instructions carefully and could not find anywhere the information that the battery for the remote was enclosed separately. Instruction on how to open the battery compartment for WRONG. I called the number given and reached Brianna. She took a message and said that someone would call me.. Meanwhile I fiddled with the remote and figured out how to open it. No battery. Went to look for the battery in the packing material and fund it lying in the bottom of the box. After more fiddling I inserted the battery and got it working. It is now in its 2 hour run to dissipate the fumes. So far the product is good but the instructions and the customer service is terrible. I was not expecting this kind of frustrating experience. (Also the product was almost a week late arriving).
